In other words...

 

Luggage of Love provides Comfort Bags to children entering the foster care system or experiencing homelessness.  Comfort Bags contain items specifically chosen to be useful, and provide comfort and warmth.

To give a sense of dignity and hope.

This Comfort Bag is theirs to keep, to own.

Does everything in a Comfort Bag need to be new?


Yes, we give the children we serve new items only.




What is the cost of a Comfort Bag?


We've estimated the cost of the Comfort Bag to be approximately $50.00. Of course, it depends on what you hand make, purchase on sale, etc.




Where do I drop off my donation in kind?


Our donation drop off locations are: LONGVIEW,WA 1414 16th Ave Longview, WA This is the State Farm Insurance- Fischer Insurance Agency on the Civic Circle Best to park behind the building and use the rear entrance. Do you take donations of used clothing?


At this time, we do not have the ability to accept used clothing. We do, however, appreciate donations of new pajama's, any size.




What hygiene products do you include in your Comfort Bags?


Kids Suave or better shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Men and Women's Suave or better shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Deodorant and Face Wash for our teens in care Feminine hygiene products Baby lotion, wash and diaper cream.




Where do I find the large tote bags to put all the items in?


Michaels Craft Store Marshalls, Home Goods, Sierra Trading Post They are usually up by the check out stands.




What is your most needed item?


Definately duffel bags. Large and sturdy. Secondly, diaper bags. Backpack style prefered.
